Sarvadeo Mandir is a non-profit organization founded in 1965 by the late Pundit Jagdis Maharaj of Sister's Road, Busy Corner, Princes Town, Trinidad, and the former Spiritual Leader, Pundit Deodath Simbhoonarine Mooklal Maharaj.
From its founding, Sarvadeo Mandir was established as a place where devotees from all over — regardless of race, color, creed, or orientation — could come together in peace for worship, socialization, meditation, and spirituality. That founding vision remains the living heart of the mandir today.
In 1998, a branch of the Sarvadeo Mandir was opened at 114-04 Jamaica Avenue, New York, by the grandson of the late Pundits Jagdis and Mooklal Maharaj — Dharmacharya Pt. Anand Maharaj, son of the late Pt. Deodath S.M. Maharaj. The New York branch continues under the joint leadership of Pt. Anand Maharaj and Pt. Sudarshan Maharaj.
At Sarvadeo Mandir, worship is conducted according to the stipulations of Sanatan Dharma — the Eternal Principle — and devotees from all walks of life are welcome to join in devotion and spirituality.

Son of the late Pt. Deodath S.M. Maharaj and grandson of the founders. Dharmacharya Pt. Anand Maharaj opened the New York branch of Sarvadeo Mandir in 1998 and has led it as its spiritual anchor for over two decades. His guidance shapes every dimension of the mandir's worship, education, and community life.
Appointed Spiritual Leader of Sarvadeo Mandir New York in 2019 — one of the youngest Spiritual Leaders in New York State. The third generation of his father's lineage to hold the title, Pt. Sudarshan carries the founding vision of the mandir into the modern age through scholarship, discourse, and the mission of The Modern Pundit.

The name says it all. Sarvadeo means "all devas" — all divine forms, all paths, all people. This mandir has never turned anyone away. Every soul seeking the divine is welcome here.
All worship at Sarvadeo Mandir is conducted according to the stipulations of Sanatan Dharma — the eternal principle that underlies all of existence. Not a religion of commandments, but a living way of right relationship.
Since 1965, the mandir has served its community through worship, education, and the transmission of the tradition to the next generation. Service to the community is service to the divine.
